Global Steps is a dynamic educational program by Vivarta Arts designed for schools, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Through interactive dance workshops and performances, students are introduced to a variety of global movement traditions — including Indian, African, Latino, Chinese, etc. The program not only celebrates cultural diversity but also weaves in contemporary themes like identity, empathy, and environmental awareness. Each session encourages creative expression, teamwork, and respect for different cultures. With age-appropriate modules tailored to school curricula, Global Steps offers a meaningful, movement-based experience that brings global understanding into the classroom.

Students are given focused attention by highly talented and dedicated teachers. I personally highly recommend Ms. Preya, she has a high level of patience and is an amazing mentor to children and adults seeking to learn classical Indian dance. If you really want to learn Indian dance then this is the school to go to.

Preya is an amazing teacher! She is able to make the littlest of the girls love and learn! She is playful yet stern and has instilled a love for Kathak in my daughter!

I have taken part in a few classes here and every time I come, Preya is fun and incredibly professional. She is innovative and encouraging and at the same time, teaches you how to work hard. I've seen her work with all different ages and types of dance and through all of them, her passion for creating and teaching comes through- would definitely recommend any students seeking to become a better dancer to learn here!
